This Saturday we will be having a chapter meeting at 1:30 pm. We will be learning about making water kefir and milk kefir. There may not be enough grains at this meeting for everyone to take some; however, if we run short, you will be able to pick up some grains from my apartment within a couple weeks. Come for an informal lesson and to have a good time.

The farm sells pet milk, free range eggs, grass fed beef, beekeeping supplies, and fresh honey.
You can contact him for prices. I have a brochure which gives his current prices (e-mail me if you want them). I will not post those prices here because they will become out of date at some point

It has been a while since I wrote last about the Weston A. Price Foundation. I have been pretty busy with a number of activities this past semester and during the early summer which has prevented me from having a meeting sooner. I would like to discuss food preservation and opportunities for buying local food at our next chapter meeting.
I am planning the next Lafayette Chapter meeting for June 6 (in two weeks) at 5:00, but I can postpone it until June 13 if that works better for anyone. I can also move it to the Saturday of either weekend if that works better for anyone.
Josiah is going to teach our lesson on sourdough bread and he will not be able to attend this meeting, so our next meeting will be teaching how to beak sourdough bread.

The next chapter meeting will be on Sunday February 28. I will be demonstrating how to make kombucha and everyone will get a kombucha scoby so they can start fermenting their own kombucha. For those who have not heard to kombucha, it is a fermented tea drink. Although it is fermented, it has little to no alcohol. (Yogurt, sauerkraut, and kimchi are other foods are also made using fermentation.)
